How to Rename the Recycle Bin

You can change the name of the Recycle Bin desktop icon by editing Registry key as the following steps:
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. Type Regedit in the box, and the click OK.
3. Go to
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/CLSID/{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
4. Changing the name "Recycle Bin" to whatever you want (don't type any quotes).
5. Exit and refresh the desktop.

To Remove Recycle Bin Icon From Desktop

You can remove the Recycle Bin Icon from Desktop by editing a Registry key as the following steps:
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. Type Regedit in the box, and then click OK.
3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace
4. Find the Key name {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} and then edit it to {-645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
5. Exit and refresh the desktop.Now you have removed it from your desktop.

Note: To show the Recycle Bin Icon on Desktop, you just edit it to its original key {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} and then exit and refresh the desktop.You will get your Recycle Bin Icon on your Desktop.

To launch the On Screen Keyboard

Want to use an on screen keyboard? Well it is this simple.
1. Click on the start button and select run.
2. Then type in osk in the box and click OK.

Speed up the Start Menu

You can customize the speed of the Start Menu by editing a Registry Key.
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. Type Regedit in the box, and then click OK.
3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop folder.
4. On the right page, double click on the MenuShowDelay file.
5. In the Value Data box, change to default value for the menu speed from 400 to to a lesser number, such as 1. Then Click OK.

Auto logon for Windows XP

Would you rather not have to log on after your computer starts? If you’re the only person who uses your computer, you can make life a little easier by skipping the Welcome screen completely and having Microsoft Windows XP take you straight to your desktop.
To automatically log on to Windows XP upon startup
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type control userpasswords2 and click OK.
3. Clear the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer check box. Click OK.

Automatically Close Programs at Shutdown

To have XP automatically close programs at shutdown

1. Click Start, Run and type Regedit, then enter.
2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop.

3. On the right page, right-click on AutoEndTasks, then choose Modify

4. In the Edit string dialog appear, edit the value data by giving it the value of 1.

To make multiple login in Yahoo Messenger with Yahoo ID's at the same time

Using this trick you will be able to login with many yahoo id's at same time:
1. Click Start, Run and Type Regedit, then enter.
2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_ USER/Software/yahoo/pager/Test
3. On the right page , right-click and choose new DWORD value .
4. Rename it as Plural.
5. Double click and assign a decimal value of 1.

To Disable CD Autoplay, completely, in Windows XP Pro

1. Click Start, Run and enter GPEDIT.MSC
2. Go to Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, System.
3. Locate the entry for Turn autoplay off and modify it as you desire.
